I would like to thank the committee for inviting me to judge this club show. I was very grateful for the lovely entry. This was the breed I was brought up with and they will always have a special place in my heart.

Baby Puppy Dog (1)
1- Gardner’s Alanea Turning Tables into Danwish. Very promising baby, well balanced and proportioned at this stage. Maculine head, dark round eyes and well set ears. Good reach of neck leading into level topline. Correct front assembly with width to chest developing. Well angled rear. Covered the ground well in all directions for one so young.

VD (3)
1- Gardner’s SH CH Alanea Gamer Reserve with Danwish. Loved the shape of this boy. Well made throughout. Good head, eye and ear set. Good reach of neck leadin with straight front and good depth of chest, well sprung ribs. Strong hindquarters. Well off for bone. Could show the youngsters how to move. RBD & BVIS.

2- Jakin’s SH CH/INT SH CH/MULTI CH Terne Des Coris Qalimero at Coolfin (imp bel) JW VW WW23. Different in type to 1. Masculine head with domed skull, good stop and dark eye. Good substance through, scoring in body- good depth of chest with well spring ribs. Well angled rear.
3- Taylor’s Laoirebay Monte Carlow JW

1- O’Connor’s Coolfin Whiskey In The Jar at Mackney. Still very raw but promising and balanced. Pleasing head properties and expression. Width to fore chest there but still needs to “drop”. Good reach of neck into level topline. Correct set on tail. Good rear angulation. Moved well once settled.

1- McDonald & Westwood’s Roanjora Cremant De Savoie Avec Eusanit JW. Although this dog still needs to mature he scored in type for me today. Very eye catching dog. Masculine head in good proportion. Good front assembly with straight front. Well off for neck leading into level topline held on the move. Body developing nicely. Strong rear with well let down hocks. He is a pleasure to watch moving and the large ring we had worked to his advantage. I would like to see him once fully mature as the best from him is yet to come. BD & RBIS.
2- Catton, Cook & Jakins Coolfin Clancy with Ferngate. A lovely moving dog. Masculine head properties. Well off for body and substance, strong loin and level topline. Stright front with strong, oval bone. Well angled and muscled rear.
3- Cornwall’s Settersay Tornado. This dog was very much my type but unfortunately did not want to play ball today.

OD (2,3)
1- Slootweg’s NLD/HUN/INT CH C’mas Dasher of the Roner Fields. A smaller type. Nice outline and balance with good proportions. Lovely reach of neck leading into level topline. Well angled, straight front and tight feet. Adequate ribbing. Moves out well in profile with long stride.

VB (3)
1- Walker’s SH CH Zendarric It’s A Kind of Magic within Wroxham JW. A really lovely bitch. Feminine head properties with good skull and clean muzzle and soft expression. Strong neck, level topline. Good layback of shoulder. Scores in body with well spring ribs and depth. Strong rear. Her good construction through shows on the move. RBB.
2- McDonald’s Roanjora Montepulciano VW. Another pleasing bitch of good size. Feminie, well proprtioned head with dark eye. Liked her reach of neck leading into well constructed front. Strong in body, level topline and well set on tail. Also moved well.
3- Slootweg’s NDL/HUN/IBT CH Ruaban of the Rotherfields From Shadow Dog

YB (2) Two bitches I felt could change places on another day.
1-Jakin’s Coolfin Baltic Turn The Page. What a lovely temperament she showed alongside being promising. Scored in head and balance. Liked her proportions overall. Head is feminine with domed skull and good stop. Soft, kind expression. Good angles fore and aft with body developing nicely. Moved well. 2- O’Kelly & Hancock’s Coolfin The Ecstacy Gold at Caradilis. Stronger in head than her sister. Liked her front construction- good layback of shoulder, straight front and strong oval bone. Body developing nicely with good spring of ribs and depth. Well angled strong rear.

1- Bayne’s Settersay Martell by Corranroo. My star of the day. Love her breed type. She is so well balanced throughout and a lovely size. Super pretty head with dark eye. Constructed well through with good angled front and rear, good depth of chest and spring of ribs. Good reach of neck leading into level topline. Moves out well in all directions and did not put a foot wrong to take BB & BIS.
2- McDonald’s SH CH Roanjora Cremant D’alsace JW. Another bitch also hard to fault but of a different
type. Super feminine head with dark eye and kind expression, good reach of neck into straight front. Well balanced fore and aft. Level topline. In good condition. Moved out well.
3- McDonald’s SH CH Roanjora Rioja Crianza

Brace (2) Always a fun class to watch. Both pairs moved out well together. Congrats to the owners on even managing this.
1- Jakins. A well matched pair of similar type.
2- McDonald’s. Also a well matched pair and hard to split 1 and 2.

Team (1)
1- McDonald’s- a credit to the handler here managing to move 3 dogs in synch around the ring. Well done! Great to watch.
