If you are interested in gundogs and in particular the Irish Red and White Setter, then why not join the Club, which is dedicated to the care and welfare of the IRWS. It is a club for Irish Red and White Setter enthusiasts run by Irish Red and White Setter enthusiasts..
Club members are a friendly bunch, you’ll find them in a muddy field or wandering around a wood or around the Irish Red and White Setter benches at a group championship show. Stop and have a chat – every Irish Red and White Setter owner is more than happy to talk about their dogs and it does seem to be dogs, not dog. Once you have one you seem to acquire another without realising what’s happening.
Members are responsible for producing all the publications that are sent out; the committee is made up of members and the club will be delighted if you want to join in and help out.
We are asked to provide dogs and their owners to take part in Discover Dogs in Birmingham and London, to attend game fairs to show off the breed to the many people that haven’t seen them before.
The Irish Red and White Setter Club of GB also has several sub committees: Health, Judging, Rescue and Working. They are dedicated to improving and maintaining the standards put down for the Irish Red and White Setter. If you have an interest in any particular area and would like to join in, then get in touch with the relevant secretary.
